I haven't eaten fast food since 2007 other than on a road trip returning from Northern California in early 2018. I was starving and stopped at a McD off the I-5 somewhere slightly south of the Bay Area. I ordered a chicken something. The first bite was so foul I reflexively immediately spit it out the car windows into the parking lot, then drove by the dumpster and threw the rest of it in there.

While Cracker Barrel has never been better than low on the mediocre scale, it was almost infinitely better than that McD experience.

We used to eat at crackle barrel occasionally. It’s been a while our last time was when traveling with the camper we stayed overnight at a crackle barrel parking lot and ate dinner and breakfast. It was convenient.

One of my favorites, always got the chicken with fettucine, added onions and broc and sundrieds, garlic olive oil sauce--wifey now makes it for me.

AND, they had the best bread ever, dip it with the olive oil and shredded cheese.
