The first of these threads is a “popcorn” thread that is a not-so-subtle mocking of UniqueDoug and his penchant for posting the lurk emoji in multiple threads in CFOT. The exchange between you and him in that thread clearly demonstrates that your purpose in starting the thread was to mock him. This is in addition to other members making reference to the “Bat Signal” and the “Bat Phone” in addition to your own comment in your OP about watching Batman while eating popcorn, as apparently Doug’s use of the lurk emoji is supposed to be a signal to the moderators to take action on a post or a thread Doug thinks is violative or critical of the site and its moderation.

The second thread you started mocks member *89X2* and his penchant for bumping his own threads, often in violation of the posted rule that prohibits such behavior that was recently enforced by me and other staff members.

That thread led a pissing contest between you and UniqueDoug as a continuation of your exchange in the first thread which led to both of you attacking each other. Again, it can be reasonably construed that in mocking *89X2* and our recent enforcement of the rule against bumping threads that you were bashing the site and its moderation.

In reviewing your record, you have 19 user notes and 6 violations of the rules, including one warning and one infraction for moderator or site bashing.

The increased moderation of CFOT is necessary to ensure that politics are discussed in P&R and not in OT or other sub-forums on the site and to ensure that members are posting within the rules. We understand that many longtime members like yourself are frustrated with this increased moderation of CFOT, but challenging that moderation or posting veiled accusations that another member is reporting violations to us out of a desire to become a moderator, an accusation you leveled in the post I am now citing you for, is not a good way to remain a member of this site, assuming that remaining a member is your desire.

Just so you know, the other half of this pissing contest is receiving the same month off that you are receiving.

Upon your return, if you engage in the same posting activity that led to this infraction, I can assure you that a permanent suspension of your posting privileges will not be off the table in response.
