Did anyone here refuse refuse?

Two 12 oz. coffee mugs, both with heavy cream.

After that it's easy to refuse alcohol. I re-use the disposable cups cuz I refuse to add them to my refuse.

I used to have to refuse occasionally, but I went with all circuit breakers years ago.

I refuse to go back to refusing -- got tired of throwing all those blown fuses in the refuse.

When I lived in southern Onondaga County BK (before kids) I went to the transfer station twice/ year. You had to buy $2 stickers for each 30 gallon bag or container. The standard trash cans that you could buy at the local big-box were 32 gallons.

I would compact mine down in 4" layers to maximize the load. Paper/ cardboard got burned in the wood stove. Food waste was all composted for my huge garden. Bottle and cans were all 5 cent deposits so returnable. The only thing in the trash was plastic packaging material.

The can was heavy as hell. One time I was at the transfer station and I dragged my container over to the dump area, and a worker stopped me: "That's not 30 gallons- it's a 32 gallon container." I told him that I could come back with two gallons of water, pour it in while he watched to prove that I only had 30 gallons or trash in it. He shook his head and walked away.

My dumps is run by really great people. All recyclables are free, along with steel or other metals including appliances (won't take any electronics).

Actual garbage is $5 per 30 gal. bag. But I burn all paper and cardboard and put veggie scraps in my garden so my "garbage" is just plastic wrappers, styrofoam, toofpaste tubes, etc.

I only need to go once every 4-5 weeks, and have one bag of garbage and two of resykes.

Some years ago I asked them "If I fill my truck up with junk, what will it cost?" He said probably $35.

So I went a few weeks later and he only charged me $20.

Say, I glue two pieces of garbage together, and they fall apart, if I glue them together again is this refuzing refuse?

What if they refuse to remain refuzed?
