I started it after I got home from a major surgery in 2017. I had a month where I couldn’t leave home, couldn’t lift anything, etc. gave me something to do.

Once you see it lit up, it will make more sense. It is really spectacular.

Decals replaced. Apparently water slide decals get brittle over time. Not perfect but good enough.

Got the top saucer rewired and tested everything for the nth time. Glued it back up.

Yeah I’m not too happy with that either but it works and is hidden. If I were to do it again I’d do it differently. One huge challenge is that there’s no room for all that wiring. All 36 wires have to go down the neck hole. Many have to be split into two or three - it’s a nightmare.
