I was in high school when Euell Gibbons, the spokesman for Grape Nuts, died.

The news anchor, with a straight face, said he died of Natural Causes.

I think Euell may have gotten a kick out that, if he knew.

Use to eat those every morning when I was younger and thinking healthy. :)

“Did you ever eat a pine tree? Many parts are edible.” :Jeff '79:

I liked them as a kid. These days, I would be worried about my crowns trying to chew those little rocks.

I like a bowl of them dry at night watching TV or in the morning mixed into yogurt too

They're good if you use hot milk, maybe add a splash of maple syrup.

And give them 5 minutes to soften up before eating?

Does it help them slide out of the bowl into a garbage can?

Grape-Nuts contains neither grapes nor nuts but is made of wheat and barley. It was created in 1897 by Charles William “C.W.” Post, who used a coffee grinder to turn a flat sheet of the baked cereal into tiny kernels that resembled grape seeds (or nuts).

Whew! How would grapes reproduce if they don't have nuts?
