I wish. The only single action revolver I've owned was a Blackhawk and that was 44 mag. Sights were totally useless but it would point real good.

I had one of those in 44 mag. Made a mistake buying it... thought it was a Redhawk. Though, I kept that Blackhawk for 20 years, then gave it to my brother.

My OP? It's a Ruger Vaquero, a replica of the original "Colt .45 SAA Peacemaker." It's available in several calibers, but of course I had to get it in .45 LC.

I have a stainless Ruger "Single Six" .22. I've had a lot of snakes around the last two summers and have been using that gun with birdshot, works great for that.

For whatever reason, .22 birdshot was impossible to get last summer but a buddy gave me enough to get through. The crunch is off I guess, I got 100 rounds from Runnings last week.

No revolvers yet, might get one for the wife. Several semis though, this P365 9mm being my favorite daily carry. Perfect size.

I elected to have a manual safety.

I had one also. I was a range officer at my club and Austin Behlert was there as a gunsmith as this was a serious 2 day match. Got talking with him and had him do a "tune up" on the big Ruger. Wow what a nice trigger pull he put in.

Kept the gun for a few years and ended up getting 2 S&W 29s. (4" & 8 3/8")

I also had a Uberti revolving carbine in .45LC

Those 2 were the closest I ever came to owning a Peacemaker.

His is a COLT Dick Special, yours is a S&W.

Mine is the second series of DS, ran from 1947-1972; the next series had the ejector rod shroud. I bought it in the early '90s.

Note the engraving. Somebody won an award with it in 1967. The original wood grips were lame.
