All I have is an opinion and my own experiences. I wore a uniform for none of them. I served in a different way. I’ve had y’all’s back to the best of my goldarn ability forever and in many different ways no one will ever know. Once you’re out, you’re handed off to a different .gov agency. No, I did not serve you or your fellow soldiers, some of whom you lost. You have my deepest condolences. Many things needed correcting then and they still do today. Eyes are always on soldier/family life and people work extremely hard to ensure quality in every aspect. We know how important that is. The work will never be done.
