I worked with some of these guys when I did a short stint as a stock broker (early 90's) They reminded me of life insurance salesmen or used car salesmen. I wouldn't trust them for a min. It would be very hard to someone I'd trust.

I ran some historical numbers on my 401k and I've averaged about 12-14% a year over the last 10 years. Couple of the funds invested are Vangard Windsor & Wellington. Think I'm going to leave the money where it is and manage myself.

Been in the market a long time. (over 40 years) I do my own research. As a older person (78) I now am rather conservative and have a lot in Widow and Orphan stocks and a good bunch of medical REITs. In plain English I go with dividends, not too much speculative offerings!
