Wife would get home about 5:30 pm all frazzled and I would make dinner. I did laundry, vacuumed, etc..

Part of being a true marriage partner is carrying your part of the load, regardless of circumstance.

Here also about 20 years ago. Somewhere around 10 or so were found over a few weeks buried. They were discovered after a developer started up a subdivision. Never found out who did it.

When my kids were young we hired a day nanny to watch them while Baby Doll commuted and I worked from home with frequent day travel. I came home one afternoon and she was sitting on the couch with my three-year-old son watching a soap opera bedroom scene. I turned it off and asked her why show thought that was appropriate. "It's on TV so it's obviously OK." I fired her the next day and took a severe cut in pay, watching my kids full time and working a few hours while they napped or in the evenings.

A year later we moved from gawd-awful New York State to God's Country North Carolina. Then I worked a full time job at my employer's location and Baby Doll became a stay at-home mom. When our son started school she took a part time job and we found a nice Baptist church day care for our daughter.

We switched roles several times when our children were growing up as the need changed.
