Name a car you like but just can't love

I'll start (really)

The Mustang GT500, been trying to pick a new adult toy and included the GT500 in the vehicles being considered. Incredibly fast and nimble in a raw kind of way. Nice looks, interior is pleasant but I just can't fall in love enough to shell out it's high price.

Any Viper.

I'd take one any day, but I couldn't bring myself to buy one.

I'll take a lot of heat here for this, but I just can't get into the C8. Yes, it's fast, it's precise, it's a great performance value, its materials are a big improvement over earlier generations, but it's also sterile and uninspiring to look at. I'll take a nicely-crafted, wood-handled pocket knife over a scalpel any day.

I feel the same way, I'm sure it's a great car but I just can't say I want one yet. The short list looks like a Hellcat Challenger or a C6 ZR1.

:iagree:

Add me to this list (the C8 one at least. Don't want a C6 anything at this point. Love my C7 GS)

I feel the same. About every Corvette made after 1967. They are great cars, but not to my taste.

I guess I hit a nerve calling you a crybaby, crybaby.

There is not one new car available that I have any interest in. And very few classic cars that I would want, and those I do are way to costly IMO.

Just giving you the leg hump feeling! 😆 You like that huh?

Always had a hankering for a El Camino. I realize its not a practical PU truck, but I could live with that.

I had a friend that had a 396 375HP with 4spd in the 60s and it got my attention. Drove it and worked on it a lot. Of course it had no traction till about 1/2 way in second gear.:D

I thought of getting one a few times over the years, I considered either a sort of stock one to a rest-a-mod but as the title says I liked it but did not love it.

Camaro ZL1-1LE.

Amazing specs and track chops, but the ergonomics and visibility was never its strong suit. Very difficult for a tall driver to drive. Additionally, I prefer the looks of the C8 to the "mero".

Go ahead and flame me but the Chevrolet Corvair, my Dad LOVED these cantankerous weird vehicles and so I had to drive a few in my youth.... I kinda like them because he was enthralled with them, but I wouldn't own one for love nor money....not even the Spider or Monza versions.

Onebadcad 05-05-2024 4:52pm

I like and respect p-cars, but would never buy a euro over the big three.

That.

The GT500 is never anywhere near as fast as Ford claims or the HP says it is.

Its a 12 second smoke machine.
