Silver State Classic Challenge
Anybody been to this course? The Silver State Classic Challenge runs
twice a year. A week of timed events. I am thinking about going and applying for the 150 mph class. For me it is a long trip. But I have talked to a few friends that are interested. |
@roadpilot
I’ve been. I’ve also been to the Big Bend Open Road Race several times. I like BBORR way more than SSCC. The latter isn’t known for having stringent safety rules. BBORR does for the higher speed classes. I’ve also been to the Sandhills Open Road Challenge. I would recommend you find an experienced navigator if it’s the first time driving any of them. I wouldn’t recommend the 150 class for your first time. |

credentials. They start everybody this way. Then you go up in speed as each race you enter. To go to these Nevada races costs a lot of time and money. Even though I have the car prepared. Time is the real problem ,I live in Florida. |
I’m in north Florida. It’s a 20 hour drive to the BBORR and 32 hours to ‘Vegas.

different autocross's every week end. It can start ot get old afer a while. Some of the courses were long and being in a Blower class , sometimes I would get over 150 mph. What are you course's like long /short? I have run SCCA courses and they have alot of turns and short straight sections. |
