If you need a janitor and nobody applies, you'll have to offer more money. If 20 applicants show up, you're offering more than you need to.

When GOVERNMENT comes in and distorts the free market with force -- "minimum" or "living" wage -- things go haywire.

Jesus calm down for a minute. You’re gonna blow a fuse. He said living wage. MARXIST!!! gmafb

Somebody serving you food and cleaning up your mess is worth $2 an hour. Ok. Tipping isn’t a city in China. Not for us anyway.

One time we went to the Durango area for a few days and stayed by a lake. Stopped into a local place for lunch and ended up out on the patio. Hostess brought us some ice tea.

It slipped from her hand and dumped on the table. I jumped out of my seat but not soon enough and took a good hit.

The waiter arrived and took our orders. I remember asking for a coke and said something like "that idiot waitress dumped the iced tea on me."

Well, he went back inside and about a minute later we heard "he called me an idiot?" :D This was not good. so, I paid for the tea and we left and went into town to get something to eat.

So that night we went out to another restaurant in the same area by the lake. We had already received our dinner and all was fine. When we left to pay, the cashier was the idiot waitress.

No offense intended, but that looks like vegan food. :puke: And aside from the first pic, straight up nasty looking. Would not eat.

Tipping is a US thing though. I remember all over Europe, tipping is only a thing near US military bases. Most places just pay their staff adequately so tipping is not a thing. In fact tipping is illegal in some countries.

Vegan is no animal products whatsoever. Vegetarian can include eggs and dairy, which can be used a hundred ways. pescatarian is fish only, no land critters.

I see meat in those Greek dishes and the salad looks off the hook. There’s more to life than box mac n cheese and BLTs.

And they wanted a tip on top of all that? For four times that price you could get a quarter side of beef and eat for 6 months. The last steak I ate barely fit in the frying pan. Some kind of roast? Don't know, but since I cook it like a steak I call it a steak :D

Stopped for breakfast on my way to Cars and Coffee a couple weeks ago. Waitress was not very friendly or talkative. Fine, early Sunday AM. my check was $12.32. I set a 20 down on the table with the check, she asked "Do you want change?" I said yes, not leaving a $7.xx tip on a $12 bill. She brings back $7. What happened to the .67 in change? So I reduced my tip by a buck. The whole thing was annoying enough that I probably won't go back there.

The only time I’ve been to Outback in forever is to take an octogenarian because that’s where they wanted to go. Hard no otherwise. Rather give it to the mom and pop.
